Margin Differential measures how close your predicted margin of victory was to the outcome. You may have picked the losing team to win by 3 and still have a better margin diff then another person who say picked the winner to win by 20 but the team only won by a 5 points. In that case the lower diff was 8 as compared to 15 by the one who had picked the winning team.

The lower the diff the more accurate you are. Below is the listing of the individual margin differential statistics.

The weekly standings that show wins and losses reflect in some cases team efforts. Smith misses picking a week and Jones fills in like a back up QB coming in off the bench. Individual stats are just that complete representations of how that individual has done...in this case in margin differential.
