I need feedback on what kinds of stats are the most interesting. I'm assuming that it is important to list the leaders in the various categories. I could list by rank but that doesn't really tell you how much you trail the leader by. The more detailed the reporting the less chance that I will be able to get out a complete set of information. So, again, I need some feedback so I can prioritize. Here is some stats from a pool of data which includes 22 contestants. There several others which need to be added and I will get that update done later.
Per Game Stats
Score Differential
13.10 Stohl
14.12 Gelfand
14.39 Danforth leads those who have picked all the games
14.89 wunderdog
15.89 Shultz
16.13 Potash
16.22 Combs
16.32 Bannon
16.33 McFarlane
16.63 Guzek
bottom ranked is Bickley of azcentral.com at 18.60
Margin Differential
8.35 Gelfand
8.71 Scobie
8.84 Stohl
9.50 wunderdog
9.54 Guzek
9.72 Wackel

10.04 Danforth
10.31 G Shultz

At the Bottom is Cote of the Miami Herald at 14.88
Total Points Differential

|
|
Lets start from the easiest to get to the hardest.
A Target is where you got 1/2 the score right. In every game is the potential to get two targets. Get 3 or 4 of these in one week and you've had a productive week in Targets.
A Bullseye is when you got the margin of victory right. Example: You said the Pats would win by 3 and they won by 3. If the other team won by 3 you get nothing. Get a couple of these each week for a few weeks in a row and you are getting some seperation from the pack.
A Hit is when you got the total points scored in the game right. Lets say you thought the Pats would win 28 to 10. They are in the 4th quarter and gettin' their ass whooped 31 to nothing. Time to switch channels to reruns of Everybody Loves Raymond? Right? .....Nope.... Root for that last minute meaningless touchdown...you know the one where the announcer is telling you about all about the benchwarmer that just came in came in and what a great opportunity this is for him. Get 7 more points and you've got a Hit. Average one Hit each week and you will be a leader in this area.
FROM 2006 archives:
An Exacta is where you got the exact score. Included in the Exacta is a Hit, a Bullseye and two Targets. It is like hitting the grand slam home run where you scored and 4 RBI's in the process. The record that everyone wants to tie or beat now 6 set by yours trauly last year. Another record was set by Jose Lemus where he got 5 in about 135 games. That pro rated works out to about 10 for a regular season.
