You may go up against one of these competitors some day. This is their history including how they approach a given play off game. Are they making a careful pick given the play off rules or are they just throwing a pick out there, letting the chips fall where they may? Given
the rules as they are, one should be conservative. Don't pick the underdog to win by 4 or more, perhaps not at all. You are trying to beat your opponent, not the vegas experts. If you like the dog to win it still makes sense to pick them by 1 or even the favorite by 1 or 3 depending on the situation.
