I'm catching up with this. I'm not sure even if anyone cares about what someone else is doing in these play offs if they are not directly involved. Look at it this way. You may go up against one of these competitors some day. This is their history including how they approach a given play off game. Are they making a careful pick given the play off rules or are they just throwing a pick out there, letting the chips fall where they may? Given
the rules as they are, one should be conservative. Don't pick the underdog to win by 4 or more, perhaps not at all. You are trying to beat your opponent, not the vegas experts. If you like the dog to win it still makes sense to pick them by 1 or even the favorite by 1 or 3 depending on the situation.
